Pseudobiography

ImprimirCitar

The Pseudobiography is a didactic-narrative literary genre with several variants.

As pseudoautobiography, the author dons the mask of a determined narrator who speaks in the first person and recounts his life. This is actually a very old genre, and most of the picaresque novels are an example of it, beginning with Lazarillo de Tormes himself. Other examples may be Marcel Schwob's Imaginary Lives (1896), I, Claudio, by Robert Graves or Memoirs of Hadrian, by Marguerite yourdinner.
