The pseudoautobiography is a didactic-narrative genre in which the author adopts the first person and narrates the life of a real or invented character; for example, Imaginary Lives by Marcel Schwob, I, Claudio by Robert Graves or Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden. The narrator himself writes his biography, (imaginary or real).
