Polis Massa is a fictional colony in the Star Wars universe. It appears in the film Revenge of the Sith, Episode III of the saga. On the asteroid, Padmé Amidala gave birth to Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa. Padmé lost the will to live and died, so Leia was adopted by Senator Organa of Alderaan, while Luke was taken to Tatooine by Obi-Wan and given to Owen Lars, half-brother of Anakin Skywalker.

Polis Massa is far from the main trade routes and intergalactic travel. It is made up of an asteroid belt.

Inhabitants and original history

The Massan cops are a strange alien race. Its average height is 1.40 meters. They are known and respected throughout the Galaxy for the fame of their doctors. At first they arrived as archaeologists to explore the destruction of what was once a world, but over time the Massan polis adapted and accommodated themselves and after centuries they believed they were the descendants of the original inhabitants of the destroyed planet.

Revenge of the Sith

The Massan polis were friends of the Jedi and took in Master Yoda, Senator Bail Organa, the wounded Padmé Amidala, and Master Obi-Wan Kenobi for a time.

It was here that Naboo Senator Padmé Amidala died giving birth to twins Luke Skywalker and Leia Skywalker, despite all the efforts of the skilled Massan cops and their droids. Also in the colony, Master Kenobi received his first lessons from the spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn.

Darth Maul

In his search for revenge after Obi-Wan Darth Maul arrives at Polis Massa was a threat to the Massan poliss, who had to reveal to him where Kenobi was so he quickly left the planet to go to Tatooine and then the Massan poliss They lived in peace.

The Galactic Empire

A year after the Massan polis welcomed the Jedi, an Imperial Inquisitor, who answered directly to the Emperor and controlled the Force, named Malorum arrived seeking clues about Padmé and the fate of his offspring. But Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi then arrived to definitively hide all information about the birth. Shortly after Malorum would die without discovering anything important at the hands of the former Jedi Ferus Olin on Naboo.

The Poliss Massans sixteen years later, just before the Battle of Yavin, suffered a brutal attack when their colony hosted the Rebellion and fake Death Star plans that were nothing more than a decoy. Darth Vader himself and his 501st Legion destroyed the rebels and subjugated the population that would take time to recover.
