Pethorca Province
Petorca is a Chilean province, being the largest in the Valparaíso Region, as well as being the northernmost. It limits to the north with the Province of Choapa; to the south with the Province of Valparaíso and the Province of Quillota; to the east with the Province of San Felipe de Aconcagua; and to the west with the Pacific Ocean. It has an area of 4,588.9 km² and has a population of 78,299 inhabitants. Its provincial capital is the city of La Ligua.
Economy
In 2018, the number of companies registered in the province of Petorca was 2,365. The Economic Complexity Index (ECI) in the same year was -0.76, while the economic activities with the highest Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) index were Services Related to Fishing, except Professional Services (25.4), Retail Sale in Exchange for Remuneration or by Contract (15.74) and Production in Nurseries, except Forest Species (9.86).
