Peruvian chalan

ImprimirCitar
Horse chalan and her partner, dancing sailor.

The chalán is the stereotypical figure of the horseman and rancher from the north coast of Peru (La Libertad, Lambayeque and Piura).

In Peru they do the work of raising cattle and horses, being heirs to the tradition in raising the Peruvian Paso horse, famous throughout the country, but their farms were located in northern Peru. The chalanes are figures similar to that of the charro in Mexico and other cowboys in America.
