Grafiti del Dúo Sacapuntas in Malaga, Spain.

The Duo Sacapuntas was a comedy duo made up of El Pulga (Juan Rosa) and El Linterna (Manolo Sarria). They worked together for 24 years (from 1978 until Juan Rosa's death in 2002) as humorists. They starred in multiple performances, galas and sketchs. The name referred to the striking contrast between Sarria's tall height and Rosa's diminutiveness.

For years they worked on various shows in nightclubs and other entertainment venues on the Costa del Sol.

Fame came to them in 1987 when they were selected by Chicho Ibáñez Serrador for his contest Un, dos, tres... responsa otra vez in which they played a bullfighter, El Linterna (Manolo Sarria) and a monkey wise man, El Pulga (Juan Rosa). His catchphrases were How was the plaza?... Crowded! and on the 22nd, 22nd, 22nd.... Both in this and in other sketches Sarria used to play the role of an angry man and Rosa that of a person between simpleton and sarcastic who, opening her eyes wide, endured her partner's blows when he ended up losing patience.

In their comic role as bullfighters, they shot their only film (directly for video) in 1987 entitled I want to be a bullfighter and directed by Miliki.

After the death of Juan Rosa Mateo in 2002, Manuel Sarria continues as a comedian under the name "Sacapuntas".
