Pedro Quesada
Pedro Quesada Cerdán (Albacete, 1926-Valencia, 1988) was a Spanish comic scriptwriter, attached to the Valencian School of Comics and author of several adventure booklets that were very successful in Spain. postwar.
Biography and work
Many of his works were done for the Maga publishing house, founded by his brother-in-law, Manuel Gago, and he frequently collaborated with his brother, the cartoonist Miguel Quesada.
Some of his most notable works were Pacho Dinamita and Tony and Anita (both drawn by Miguel), Pantera Negra and Little Black Panther (first with drawings by José Ortiz, and then again by his brother Miguel), Apache (with drawings by Luis Bermejo) or Jim Alegrías (illustrated by Manuel Gago).
Awards and Rating
Pedro Quesada won the Grand Prize at the Barcelona Comic Fair in 1999 posthumously. Jesús Cuadrado, for his part, gives him an example of the & # 34; scriptwriter-river of wild fabulation and exquisite professionalism & # 34; from the 40s.
