Pedro de Gamboa (1512-1552) was a Spanish master builder and master builder who carried out part of his work in America.

The son of Juan Gamboa and María Iriarte, natives of the Vizcaya town of "Elgorrieta", he arrived in Chile on the Pedro de Valdivia expedition. As a master builder and "city planner", he worked in Santiago, where he was responsible for the chessboard layout of the city in 1541. He was a friend of Inés de Suárez, the first Spanish woman to arrive in Chile and established in Santiago.[citation required]
