Lewis Paul Bremer III, also known as Jerry Bremer (Hartford, September 30, 1941), is an American diplomat.

Biography

Bremer was named director of Iraq Reconstruction and Humanitarian Assistance by George W. Bush, succeeding Jay Garner on May 6, 2004. He arrived in Iraq on May 11, 2003 and left on June 28, 2004, after handing over sovereignty to Iraq.
