Three Crosses
From Paucartambo the road that comes from Cuzco (via Collquepata and Pisac) continues in the direction of the jungle, towards the Manú National Park. In the highest part of this road (Abra de Acjanaco, at 3550 masl) by a detour, you access the viewpoint of Tres Cruces from where you can see the wonderful sunrise for having a free view towards the low jungle and also to the Kosñipata Valley. Tres Cruces is called the "Balcony of the East" and it is one of the only two places in the world where this spectacle of lights and colors of all ranges can be observed because it is located above 3,800 meters high. It is recommended to wear warm clothes, due to the low temperatures, additionally during the day you can see the immensity of the Peruvian Amazon and on clear days it is possible to see places like Patria and places near Pillcopata (and at night see the away the electric lights of these towns).
