Partido de Tres Lomas

Tres Lomas is one of the 135 districts of the Argentine province of Buenos Aires. The party was created on December 11, 1986 with land from the Pellegrini party.

It is located at a latitude of 36° 28' South, a longitude of 61° 53' West and an altitude of 112 m s. no. m.. Its head is the city of Tres Lomas, 520 km from Buenos Aires and 580 from the provincial capital city of La Plata.

Geography

The Partido de Tres Lomas is in the extreme northwest of the province of Buenos Aires, almost on the border with the province of La Pampa. It limits to the northeast with Trenque Lauquen, to the northwest with Pellegrini, to the southeast with Guaminí and to the southwest with Salliqueló.

Population

The population of the district reaches 11126 inhabitants.

Places of interest

• Main square “Leandro N. Alem”, designed by the famous architect Salamone
• Municipality of Tres Lomas, designed by the aforementioned architect.
• Station of trains, although today only trains of grain loads circulate through these railways, is in excellent condition, being able to visit.
• Historic Museum, is a museum that has been established in an emblematic place of Tres Lomas, the Ex Casa Marcaida. There you can visit themed samples.
• Museum of Art, is located in the former Matadero Municipal, which was renovated and occasionally has artistic exhibitions.
• Bio Parque Municipal, is a bio park that was created for the preservation of native species. A beautiful place where animal and plant species coexist, with humans. There is an artificial lagoon, where ducks, frogs, sapos, otters and other species live. It has internal roads where you can travel with cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. It is also an excellent place to walk, rest, cook the typical Argentine roasts, take mates in the Matera and eat in the pergolas. In the same place there are parties like that of spring.
• Soccer stadiums. In this city there are three football stadiums (football), the Club Atlético Argentino, the Club Unión Deportiva and the Club Ferrocarril Oeste, The first is close to the Bio Parque Municipal, the second is in the center of the city and the third is in the western access of the city.
• Polideportivo municipal, the same is located next to the Bio Parque Municipal, there is a public swimming pool, which is open to the public in summer, and you can rest and sunbathe.
• Riding field, the same is located within the Bio Parque, where the typical Argentine riders are made.
• The “Las Charas” airfield, which is located in the town of Ingeniero Thompson, and bears that name, since the city in which it is located possessed that same name.
• Cine y Teatro español, located in the center of Tres Lomas, and remodeled recently. You can appreciate plays, movies, ceremonies, concerts, etc.
• Drums, rooms, fields, fridges, cherries and old houses, although these places are private, contacting the owners and/or the owners of these places, can be visited.
• Bar "Ron Damón Pool Bar" where you can play pool, hear the iconic melodies of the Solari Indian and drink a refreshing beer.
