Ordinary People

Synopsis
The relationships of a model American family (father, mother, two children) are disrupted by a boating accident. The eldest of the brothers dies and the youngest, overwhelmed by the guilt of having survived, tries to commit suicide and is hospitalized for a time in a psychiatric hospital. The film narrates the young man's return home, with his problems trapped between the coldness of his mother and the false joy of his father.
