Nute gunray
Nute Gunray is a character from the Star Wars universe.
In the movie The Phantom Menace this Neimoidian was the highest leader of the Trade Federation and had a special hatred for Padmé Amidala. He placed a blockade on the planet Naboo and arrested the young queen. During the blockade, he was accompanied by his officers Daultay Dofine and Rune Haako who followed his vicious orders to the letter. He lost the Battle of Naboo, being arrested by Queen Amidala. He had to go through four trials in the Coruscant courts.
In the movie Attack of the Clones, having gotten rid of all his legal problems with the Galactic Republic, the Viceroy becomes a member of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. On Geonosis, during the execution in the arena, the viceroy is upset and impatient as Queen Amidala escapes the obstacles and immediately orders Dooku to finish them off, only to suffer defeat again upon the arrival of the Jedi and their clone armies of the Galactic Republic. In the Geonosis control room, Gunray is shown to be desperate for the formation of an army that outnumbered his troops. So Gunray and his financial advisor Gilramos Libkath escape from Geonosis, to avoid being destroyed by the Jedi.
His android forces fight the Republic in countless battles, throughout the Clone Wars. Near the end of the wars, Nute Gunray travels along with the other members of the separatist movement to the planet Utapau, where they will hide for several months. With Count Dooku dead, the Separatist leaders are left under the care of General Grievous, who is quite disliked by Viceroy Gunray. In fact General Grievous had asked Darth Sidious to kill the viceroy but Sidious told Grievous that the viceroy was a vital part of the war. In addition, the Viceroy only saw General Grievous as another droid available for battles.
The Viceroy and the members of the Separatist Council were among the few who knew that Darth Sidious was the one who managed and directed part of the army and Separatist movements through General Grievous. Meanwhile Darth Sidious orders the Viceroy to go to the Mustafar system along with the other separatist leaders. So they are betrayed by Darth Sidious and in this way he dies on Mustafar, after the arrival of Lord Darth Vader, in the last meeting of the Separatist Council. His partners Rune Haako, Rute Gunnay, and his bodyguard were killed first. Gunray pleading for his life to the young Sith tries to convince him to let him go, but Vader kills him without paying attention and without mercy or mercy.
