- 1031: The people of Cordoba rebel against the Visir Hakam ben Said and the Hisham III caliph for the strong tax increase. After killing the Visir, the caliph is banished and takes refuge in the area of Lérida, where he would die in 1036, ending the caliphate of Cordoba and opening the period of the Taifas kingdoms.
