Noriko sasaki
Noriko Sasaki (佐々木倫子, Sasaki Noriko?) is a shōjo manga (Japanese comic for girls) cartoonist, born in Asahikawa, Hokkaidō, on October 7, 1961.
A graduate of Hokkaidō University of Education, she made her debut as a cartoonist in 1980 with Apron Complex (エプロン・コンプレックス, Epuron compurekkusu), in a special issue of Hana to yume magazine.
His best-known work is Dōbutsu no o-isha-san (動物のお医者さん, “The Veterinarian”), published in Hana to yume between 1988 and 1994, which narrates the adventures and misadventures of a Veterinary School. Unlike most works of its genre, there is no main love story, nor a leading couple. Characters such as the dog Chobi (a Siberian husky), the cat Mike and the rooster Hiyo caused a sensation. This comic came to cause a sudden increase in the number of Veterinary students throughout Japan, as well as a considerable increase in huskies. Dōbutsu no o-isha-san was made into a television series as an 11-part live-action series, broadcast on TV-Asahi in the spring of 2003.
Another relevant series is Channel wa sono mama! (チャンネルはそのまま！, “Don't change the channel!”, published in Big Comic Spirits, a seinen, which is set in a fictional Sapporo TV station from 2008 to 2013. Also Channel wa sono mama! would be brought to TV by HTB in 2019, this production, distributed by Netflix outside of Japan, is known in the Spanish-speaking world as Sigan tuned in.
