Nordelta
Nordelta is an urban locality in the Tigre District, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the northern area of the Greater Buenos Aires agglomerate.
History and Characteristics
Nordelta was born from an idea by Julián Astolfoni in 1972, who was inspired by the Villes Neuves in Paris and other urban development projects in Europe. The intention was to meet an unsatisfied demand, given that in Greater Buenos Aires there were no urban developments that could offer adequate sanitation infrastructure and other services, along with rational, integrated and predictable urban planning.
The project was approved in 1992 by the Province of Buenos Aires. In 1998, Julián Astolfoni and Eduardo Costantini teamed up to begin making the idea a reality. 1999 was the year the first neighborhood, La Alameda, was launched, and in 2000 the first lot was delivered for construction.
Nordelta today constitutes an Urban Nucleus, which has more than 24 neighborhoods, 50 consortiums, a large educational community, a medical center, a commercial center, nautical areas, a complete sports club, and the future Civic Center where the Church is located Catholic and the Jewish Temple.
Its 35,000 inhabitants have all the services found in cities and neighboring towns are also nourished by them. Within the Tigre district, Nordelta has the character of a locality.
Nordelta Neighborhood Association manages the services of the city and the neighborhoods that make it up. Houses in the town town start from 200 m² to 2500 m², with values between US$300,000 to US$6,000,000. In the public area, the Intercontinental hotel is located in the Bahía Grande sector. Later the hotel changed to the Wyndham chain. The project is owned by Eduardo Constantini. In terms of religion, it has a parish (Sacred Parish family) and with a Jewish center (judaica north Nordelta).

The death of Gustavo Andrés Deutsch
On September 14, 2014, Nordelta drew the attention of the entire country for the small plane that crashed into a country house. The former owner of LAPA, Gustavo Andrés Deutsch, was traveling on the plane. Deustch was carrying his wife and crashed on the afternoon of September 14, 2014. That cost him and his wife their lives.
Reviews
Nordelta, along with other similar ventures, has been harshly criticized for contributing to flooding of nearby neighborhoods. This is because it has been built on wetlands that captured some of the excess water. In addition, embankments have been built that keep all the water out of Nordelta, and concentrate it in the surrounding neighborhoods. On the other hand, some neighbors resist living in a natural environment preserving native species, and in several cases they have illegally eradicated birds that inhabited those lands.
On the other hand, the neighborhood reports that it has a double security ring, but that has not prevented commando-type robberies as in most gated neighborhoods. In other cases, cases of the use of firearms have been reported. Due to the large number of lakes that surround the lots, security control is difficult. There have been cases of thefts carried out by divers.
On the other hand, the developers, for better economic performance of the lots they market, changed the natural course of the Las Tunas stream, impacting the neighboring neighborhoods.
