Nokia 3310

The Nokia 3310 is a two-band mobile phone or GSM: GSM 900/1800. It was launched in the first quarter of 2000, replacing the popular Nokia 3210 in a satisfactory and profitable way, being one of the most popular phones to date, with more than 100 million units sold worldwide.
The terminal has been relaunched for sale in 2017 in a modern version, with a color screen, Nokia Series 30+ system, 3G connectivity, 2Mpx camera and Bluetooth 3.0
Design
The 3310 is a compact, but somewhat heavy mobile phone (133 g), with a monochrome display of 84 x 48 points. It is a somewhat rounded rectangular unit held in the palm of the hand, whose buttons are ready to be used by the thumb. The blue button is the main button to select menu or their respective options, with the "C" button as "Back" or "Undo". The Up and Down buttons have navigation purposes. The On/Off/Perfil button is a black and rigid button located at the top of the phone.
Features
The 3310 works on 2G and includes utilities such as a calculator, stopwatch and a reminder function. It includes four games, Snake II, Pairs II, Space Impact, and 'Bantumi'. It was very popular for its SMS mode that allowed messages three times longer than the size of a standard SMS. The phone also had the option of voice dialing.
Personalization
The 3310 can be customized with interchangeable housings, which were marketed in multiple designs by various companies. The phone has different 'profiles', which can adjust the phone to different types of settings. For example, there is a silent mode that prevents the phone from ringing when you don't want it to. It is also possible to make screen savers with received images. You also have the option to give a reminder message when the phone is turned on.
Variants
The Asian variant of the 3310 is the Nokia 3315, which has some additional features:
- An image editor to edit things to use in SMS messages
- Tempored profiles
- You can receive ringtons and images
- Fixed some bugs found in 3310
- Automatic key lock after a certain time.
There are two North American variants of the 3310: one is the Nokia 3390, which operates on GSM 850/1900 bands. The Nokia 3395 is an updated version of the 3390 which includes the features added to the Asian version.
Most versions of the 3310 can support features of the 3315 using a data cable.
Internet phenomenon
The first Nokia GSM cell phones, especially the 1100 and 3310 models, are classified as memes or Internet Phenomena due to their popularity and different characteristics, such as their resistance to shocks or falls, which they even say that “breaks the ground”, which gives him his famous nickname “The Indestructible”.
