Ngwane III was an 18th-century king of the Swazi people whose reign ended in 1780, the son of Dlamini III and Ndwandwe.

King Ngwane III is of special importance to the Swazi people; he was the one who gave the nation one of its names. When the Swazi people began to settle in the present territory of Swaziland, they called that territory kaNgwane (the place or country of Ngwane). The name kaNgwane has survived to this day, and is one of the names that Swazis use to refer to themselves.
