Contenido Acícula (from the Vulgar Latin acūcŭla, diminutive of acūs needle) is the term used in botany to designate fine and delicate stingers that do not they are hurtful In some regions it is called needle needles. By extension, acicular organs are those with a long and fine shape, especially the leaves of pine trees. The leaves colloquially called chives, which are also called simply "needles", also have an acicular shape.
In other disciplines such as zoology or mineralogy, this term is also used, always referring to organs or other long, thin and pointed elements.
