Natalia Verbeke

Natalia Carolina Verbeke Leiva (Buenos Aires, February 23, 1975) is an Argentine actress who lives in Madrid, Spain.

Biography

She was born in Argentina and lived there until she was 11 years old, at which time her family decided to move to Madrid (Spain). She studied at the Royal School of Dramatic Art, at the Guindalera School with Juan Pastor, studied an acting course for professionals with John Strasberg, contemporary dance with Josefina Tomás, flamenco with Miquel Sandoval, Carmen Romera and Víctor Ullate.

Trajectory

She made her debut with the film A good boyfriend (1998), together with Fernando Guillén Cuervo, and received the Max Factor Award for being "the most beautiful face in Spanish cinema". Then came Nobody knows anyone (1999), The Bride's Son (2001) and the one that catapulted him to fame: The Other Side of the Bed (2002). She also appeared in A golpes , where she played María, a boxer who made her living as a taxi driver; or Football Days (2003) by David Serrano.

In the theater he interpreted A Midsummer Night's Dream, by William Shakespeare, in England.

Her first fixed role on television was in the Antena 3 mystery production El pantano alongside Emma Suárez and Antonio Valero, where she played Inés Alonso during the nine episodes of the series. Later she was part of the cast of the Spanish television series Al filo de la ley playing Elena Castro.

In 2007 he returned to the small screen to participate in the highly rated series Los Serrano, on Telecinco. She played Ana Blanco, the little sister of Andrés (Jorge Fernández) and Candela (Nuria González), owner of the Santa Justa school, during the sixth and seventh seasons.

In 2008, she led the cast of the miniseries La bella Otero based on the homonymous novel by Carmen Posadas. It is a European production (Spain, Germany, Italy and France) in which she shared a cast with John Malkovich and Montse Guallar among others.

Between 2009 and 2011, he starred in the Antena 3 series Doctor Mateo alongside Gonzalo de Castro. In it she played Adriana Pozuelo, the town teacher, during the five seasons that the series lasted. Thanks to this character, Natalia won an Ondas Award for best television actress in 2010, a Zapping Award for best actress in 2011, as well as two nominations in the gold TP and silver Frames in 2011 and 2009 respectively.

In 2011, she starred in the comedy Las chicas de la sexta planta alongside Carmen Maura and Lola Dueñas. In 2012, she participated in the French series Jeu de dames on the channel French 3.

In April 2013, he signed for the Antena 3 series Welcome to Lolita, a musical comedy with Beatriz Carvajal and Rodrigo Guirao, among others, which premiered on January 7, 2014. eight chapters was canceled due to low ratings.

Private life

In 2003 she had a relationship of a few months with the television presenter Gonzalo Miró. In 2005 she began a relationship with the Madrid bullfighter Miguel Abellán that lasted five years. From 2010 to 2013 she had an intermittent sentimental relationship with her partner Cast Gonzalo de Castro.

In 2013, she began dating chef Jaime Renero, to whom she became engaged in 2014. A few days before the wedding, the couple called it off and in the months that followed they launched accusations at each other about the reason for the breakup.

Since 2015, she has been in a sentimental relationship with Argentine rugby player Marcos Poggi, thirteen years her junior. In November 2016, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together. On March 12, 2017, their first child was born daughter, a girl named Chiara.
