Nana-Grébizi Economic Prefecture

Nana-Grébizi (also called Gribingui) is one of the two economic prefectures of the Central African Republic. It is located in the center-north of the country. Its capital is Kaga Bandoro. It borders the prefectures of Ouham to the west, Kémo to the south, Ouaka to the southeast, and Bamingui-Bangoran to the east.

In Nana-Grébizi, a disarmament, demobilization and reintegration program into civil society launched by the Central African government in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is advancing, albeit slowly. Three hundred armed men have already been identified in this prefecture, many of whom supported the seizure of power by the current Head of State, General François Bozizé.
