Montgomery scott
Montgomery Scott, is a fictional character from Star Trek. He is the chief engineer of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 and is a specialist in its engines and propulsion. He was born on March 3, 2222 in Linlithgow, Scotland (Earth). Played on the small and big screen by James Doohan, appearing in all the original series during all three seasons, (Star Trek: TOS, 1966-1969), and in a large number of subsequent films such as, (Star Trek, The motion picture), (Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan), (Star Trek III, The Search for Spock), (Star Trek IV, The Voyage Home), (Star Trek V, The Final Frontier), (Star Trek VI, The Undiscovered Country) and in (Star Trek Generations). Currently, more specifically from 2009, thanks to the reboot directed by J.J. Abrams, Montgomery Scott was played by the British actor and comedian Simon Pegg in (Star Trek 2009), (Star Trek, Into Darkness) and (Star Trek Beyond), these last three films framed within the time line known as the Kelvin line or popularly known by fans of the franchise as the Ambramverse.
Biography
Family called Scotty by friends such as Captain James Tiberius Kirk, Montgomery Scott served as chief engineer on the first USS Enterprise (NCC-1701), serving throughout his career on eleven different ships, including, USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D), the ship of Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Graduating from the Starfleet Academy as an Engineer, he developed a particular talent for all the machines and systems of the main ship on which he served. Intuitive as hell, he uses this quality to solve many of the problems that the crew of the Enterprise ran into, (Star Trek: TOS). The ship's engines have no secrets for him, and yet on many occasions he has used one of his main skills, improvisation, to save the situation. Along with his extreme professionalism, it is these abilities of his, combining knowledge and intuition, that have earned him the fame of The Miracle Worker. In the year 2294, after 52 years of career, he retired, but during the trip to the Norpin colony, where he was going to stay quietly for the rest of his days, the ship that was carrying him crashed into a Dyson sphere.. Scotty, the only survivor, would spend 75 years suspended in a transporter loop, until rescued by a team from the USS Enterprise NCC 1701-D in the year 2369. After this adventure, Scotty abandoned the idea of retirement and, on board From a shuttle borrowed from Captain Jean-Luc Picard, he has once again traveled the galaxy.
