Mitsuki saiga

Mitsuki Saiga (斎賀 みつき, Saiga Mitsuki^?, Saitama Prefecture, Japan, June 12, 1973) is a Japanese voice actress and singer, affiliated with Ken Production. Some of her most notable roles include that of Tsukasa in .hack, Maria Ross in Fullmetal Alchemist, MakubeX in GetBackers, Wolfram von Bielefeld in Kyō Kara Maō!, Chie in My-Hime/My-Otome, Yoite in Nabari no Ō, Teito Klein in 07-Ghost and Jing in King of Bandit Jing. Saiga is well known for possessing a deep voice that allows her to play both male and female characters.

Saiga was also a member of the Gekidan K-Show theater company (which is run by Kentarō Itō), but announced his departure on his blog on September 23, 2008.

In the second edition of the Seiyū Awards, Saiga won in the category of "Best Supporting Actress" for her roles in Moyasimon: Tales of Agriculture , Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann and Toward the Terra . 34;Foreign Fans Award & # 34; at the 4th Seiyū Awards for her role as Wolfram in Kyō Kara Maō! and Souji Okita in Peacemaker Kurogane .

As a singer, Saiga has his own band called "Mitsuki Saiga feat.JUST".

Biography

Saiga was born on June 12, 1973 in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. When she was an elementary school student, she found an anime magazine at a relative's house and thought that when she grows up, she would become a seiyū. During middle school, Saiga still wanted to become a seiyū and even told her teacher that she would go to a vocal school. According to her own words, the interview was over in a minute.After graduating, she entered Yoyogi Animation Gakuin and almost at the same time passed the audition for Ken Production.

On March 8, 2008, during the 2nd Seiyū Awards ceremony, Saiga won the "Best Supporting Actress" along with her colleague Rie Kugimiya for her work on Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann, Toward the Terra, and Moyashimon: Tales of Agriculture. She is an astronomy enthusiast and has been conducting astronomical observations for years. On August 22, 2009, she participated in an event to observe the celestial bodies together with the cast and staff of Sora no Manimani, and later as a member of an astronomy club. She has also said that she has observed celestial bodies with Junji Majima, Hiroki Yasumoto, Kanae Itō, Takuma Terashima, Yoshihisa Kawahara, Nozomu Sasaki, and Kiyohiro Yamaguchi.
