Might guy
Might Guy (マイト・ガイ, Maito Gai?) is a fictional character from the manga and anime Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto. He is the sensei of Neji Hyūga, Rock Lee, and Tenten.
Background
Guy is the most eccentric sensei in the series, and an admirer of youth. He has the habit of putting conditions on himself (many times excessive) in his training and disputes, such as if I don't get it I'll do this or that, which can force him to do things like go around the village several times doing a handstand, without rest, his very name is a derivation of the English phrase "mighty guy" (Tough man).
He constantly proclaims that Kakashi Hatake is his eternal rival, a thought that is confirmed in Shippuden when Kakashi is named Hokage. She says she has 50 wins and 49 losses against him. The rivalry between the two is later reflected between Rock Lee and Neji Hyuga, since Guy, like Lee, is someone who can and must put a lot of effort into his task to achieve success, while Kakashi, like Neji later, are geniuses in the arts. ninja, with great skill without having to undergo harsh training. Due to this similarity between Rock Lee and himself, Might Guy feels an affinity with him, teaching him his techniques and encouraging him in everything he does. Lee becomes a young version of Guy, an extreme admirer of his teacher, to such an extent that he imitates his way of dressing, haircut and attitude.
Guy is a specialist in Taijutsu (hand-to-hand combat), something he has achieved through hard work and unconventional training. He possesses the greatest physical strength of all the Konoha ninja. The physical power of him is comparable to that possessed by the sannin Tsunade.
Even Itachi Uchiha has mentioned that he is not to be underestimated, which explains his prowess and skills with Taijutsu. It is these same techniques that he has instilled in his disciples and those that define his group, which is characterized by using the three variants of taijutsu: Lee, specialized in external damage; Neji, specialized in internal damage and Tenten, specialist in combat using weapons.
As has been seen, he also has a pact with mystical creatures, specifically, turtles; this could be seen while Lee was fighting Sasuke before the second test, as this is the animal Guy sent to track him down.
History
Guy's first meeting with his student Rock Lee is when he is training the Bushin no jutsu and the Henge no jutsu. The first moment in which Guy appears fighting is during the invasion of Konoha by the village of sound, where he fights alongside Hatake Kakashi. After the chūnin exam in the first season, Lee is left in bad shape by his fight against Gaara. In order to continue being a ninja he must undergo a dangerous operation, so he hesitates to do it. However, to cheer him up, Guy tells him to have surgery, and that if something went wrong and he died, he himself would die too. The seriousness with which this character keeps his promises and conditions make Lee decide to try the operation, which eventually allows him to return to his life as a ninja.
He later intervenes in Itachi's first appearance, where he reveals the trick to avoid the Mangekyou sharingan curse: avoid the opponent's gaze and guess their movements by observing their feet. When Kisame and Itachi arrive in Konoha to find Naruto, Guy arrives late at the hotel to fight, mistakenly attacking Jiraiya, mistaking him for Kisame or Itachi. Guy carries Sasuke on his shoulders and gives Naruto clothes like the one he wears.
During the Filler Chapters, Guy trains in the Dojo with Lee but Lee has a fight with a supposed Ninja apprentice named Yagura. Lee loses and ends up physically and morally hurt. Yagura goes out with Guy towards a mountain where Guy faces wooden dolls to train Kung Fu, but they move at high speed; he is eventually trapped in a structure made up of pieces of wood. Naruto, Neji and Ten-ten arrive, and finally Lee, who enters the building where Guy is locked up, for Lee there is a wooden doll and for Guy there is a wooden doll too, in such a way that each of the dolls imitates the movement of the other. Both, Guy and Lee, begin to fight each other, through the dolls, Guy realizes that he is fighting against his own student and lets him know by moving the leg of the doll in morse code, both open five of the eight doors of the hidden lotus, thus defeating the wooden dolls that were materially incapable of supporting the techniques to which they were subjected.
At the beginning of the second season of the story, Guy participates together with his disciples (now all of them with the rank of chūnin already, except Hyuuga Neji, who is a jounin) in the mission to save the Kazekage Gaara. In the course of it, they are forced to face Kisame Hoshigaki, or at least a copy of him. They manage to defeat her, and later participate in the removal of the seals that kept the entrance to the cave closed where Akatsuki performed the extraction of Shukaku from Gaara. During this job, a new ward works, which spawns copies of Guy and his team, which they eventually defeat as well. In the akatsuki invasion saga, he and his group, while on a mission, see some birds fleeing from Konoha and sense that something is wrong. On the way back, they find a wounded Gamabunta. After this, they arrive in Konoha and find Hinata injured. Guy remembers what Gamabunta said and says: 'I didn't think it was that serious'. The last appearance of him is as a & # 34; escort & # 34; Naruto while he is taken to the Village Hidden in the Clouds, to receive training from Killer Bee, although apparently he is a little dizzy from the nausea caused by the boat trip. In chapter 504 of the manga, Guy reconsiders what happened in the old chapter since all he did was get dizzy and vomit, so in the next episode he decides to face his true self just as Naruto did in order to control to the Kyuubi while waiting for his true "self" He comes out of the waterfall, he is anxious, he is warming up but instead of leaving his other part, Kisame dazzles everyone and more Killer Bee, who supposed that he was dead, trying to escape the killer bee and Naruto (the one who detected him in the Samehada). Guy gets scared and thinking that it is his true self, he says to face him by hitting him with one of his most famous taijutsu techniques, Konoha Kaigan Shou (which consists of doing a somersault to increase the force of his elbow hitting the opponent strongly) after that Kisame is shot through the air and Guy, thinking that he has defeated his evil half, is satisfied; when everyone realizes that it is the Akatsuki that is flying, Might follows him with the 6 doors open, driven by a slap from Bee (running out of chakra). In the end, he finds it and in order to kill the shark man, he opens 7 doors; performing the taijutsu punch "The sunset tiger" (Technique that consists of throwing a fist faster than any other, and being under such pressure and energy it explodes instantly, since this is taijutsu, Kisame's giant shark does not absorb it as he planned, and hits it fully, taking it with it to interrogate him and get information from Akatsuki.
When he meets with the others they put Kisame in a way that he doesn't move and they manage to get him some memories of the past, and how Akatsuki recruited him, but when he was about to show the face of "Madara" Kisame bites his tongue to wake up and cut off the interrogation, then breaks through the wooden prison, encloses himself in a sphere of water and commits suicide through his own invocations, while a third brings a scroll with information to Madara.
During the start of the 4th Great Ninja War, Maito Guy fights alongside Rock Lee, Sakura, Kakashi, and other shinobi of the alliance; His first enemies are 2 powerful ninjas who use explosions and fire element, and Zabuza Momochi and Haku, both revived through the Resurrection of the Impure World, carried out by Kabuto Yakushi. Later, exactly in Naruto Shippuden 418, Guy was able to open the 8 Gates of the Hidden Lotus and therefore caused great damage to his opponent, which in this case was Madara Uchiha, who was on the brink of death. He then assumes a new pose and begins to build up pressure on the gate point, beginning to release the Chakra necessary for the technique. When ready, Guy's body turns a dark color as charred and he proceeds to attack Madara using the Night Guy, giving him a powerful kick at such a speed that it manages to distort space. However, just as the kick begins to break several of Madara's ribs, Guy's leg breaks. Madara is sent several meters back until he crashes into the trunk of the Tree God. This technique managed to largely remove the left side of his body to the point where Madara admits that Guy was about to kill him, however his regeneration power begins to rebuild the missing side of him. Finished this, Guy is on the floor and begins to turn into ashes. Seeing this, Madara decides to finish him off before he dies, so he launches one of the Chakra spheres from him. However, Naruto appeared who kicked the sphere and saved his life by transmitting and balancing his life force with the Yang power received by the Sage. Later Naruto removed him from the battlefield taking him to where Rock Lee and Gaara were to take care of him. Later Guy was being cared for by Lee and Gaara, when finally Madara manages to project the Infinite Tsukuyomi on the Moon trapping the entire planet, for seconds later all the people are trapped and united to the Tree God. Some time later, the Infinite Tsukuyomi is dispelled by Naruto and Sasuke leaving Guy and everyone else free. He would then return to Konoha with his companions.
Years passed after the Fourth Shinobi World War ended, however, Guy was left in a wheelchair due to the confrontation he had with Madara and the bones of his right leg were destroyed beyond repair and now he is full of bandages due to the use of the Night Guy. One day Guy was talking and having coffee with his old friend Kakashi, whom he asked if it was okay that he was not with the Seventh Hokage, Kakashi affirmed that and said that he was a good successor and that the elders should not interfere. Likewise, he told her that, since he had already resigned from his job as Hokage, it was time to take a nostalgic tour. Guy finished by asking him if he remembered the first place they fought.
