Melissa Panarello
Melissa Panarello (December 3, 1985, Acicastello) is an Italian writer, best known for the publication of the autobiographical novel The Hundred Blows (2003).
Biography
The novel focuses on Melissa's own extreme teenage sex life. It was distributed in 40 countries, translated into more than 30 languages, and even made a movie that, according to her, is not entirely faithful to the novel. The young woman, who was 17 years old, shocked a large part of traditional Italian society by writing freely about topics such as orgasm, penetration and sperm in a direct and factual way.
She currently lives in Rome, where she wrote her second novel The smell of your breath (2005). In April 2006 he published In the name of love, presented as an open letter to Cardinal Camillo Ruini, in which he accused the Catholic Church of interfering in the Italian political scene and defended the secularism of his country..
He has also written three other books: Vertigine, In Italia si chiama amore and Tres.
