Mastermind (Spanish "Mastermind") is a board game of ingenuity and reflection for two players.

It is played on a board with small black and white tiles and other colored tiles, slightly larger in size. One of the players chooses a number of colored tiles, 4 in the original game, and puts in a secret code hidden from the other player. This one, taking colored tiles from the same set, ventures a possibility answered with black (color tiles well placed) or white (color tiles with the correct color, but wrongly placed).

Ends when the combination is found (that is, a combination with four black is obtained), or the board is exhausted (depends on the size, although there are usually 15 combinations).

Mastermind is currently a trademark owned by Pressman Toys; the origin may derive from a traditional English game called Bulls and Cows, it was played on paper: the "bulls" were equivalent to the black tiles, and the "cows" White wings.

In the toy museum of Dénia (Alicante) this game is exhibited under the trade name of Conygan. From the Cayro toy factory and year of manufacture 1965.
