Marco Aurelio Almazán, better known as Marco A. Almazán (Mexico City, January 22, 1922-Mérida, Yucatán, November 23, 1991), He was a Mexican writer and diplomat.

Biography

Confused with Marco Antonio Almazán, although according to his own words, he has never met any Cleopatra. He was born in the Mixcoac neighborhood of Mexico City, attending high school at the National Preparatory School. He studied at the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). In 1940 he went to New Orleans, Louisiana, in the United States, where he served as editor of the magazine South. In 1942 he returned to Mexico and took the exams at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to enter the diplomatic career. He served in the Mexican delegation to the United Nations in New York, was sent as vice consul to London, England and in 1943, with the same position, to Beirut, Lebanon. In 1944, Spain and there his first book appeared, Joseph's Ark . In 1971 he returned and settled in Mérida, Yucatán, where he lived until his death.

Work
