Bromisnar de Bagdad is the fifth book of the Mampato comic.

Plot

The story begins when a vendor tries to sell Mampato's mother a very expensive rug, to which she says "it wasn't even a flying carpet."

With this, Mampato is excited about going to Baghdad in the 7th century where the Caliph of Baghdad would be the one who inspired "the thousand and one nights". As always, he travels to prehistory to invite his friend Ogú to this adventure.

Upon arrival they are taken before the caliph as Ogú accidentally takes a fruit from the Baghdad market. He forgives them, but Ogú's "stick" just jumps and hits the Caliph on the head, who angrily sends them to beheaded the next day. In the dungeon they meet Bromisnar the prankster nephew of the caliph, who has a magical turban that he only uses for pranks.

During the decapitation Bromisnar saves them but they are banished to the desert, where they have numerous adventures including the battle against the 40 thieves. There they find the Caliph who has been overthrown by the Vizier, and stripped of his throne. Also, Bromisnar loses his turban and now they are going to try to recover the throne, but that is another story.

The story continues in: Sesame, open up!
