Luciano Ligabue
Luciano Ligabue, generally known as Ligabue or Liga (Correggio, Province of Reggio Emilia, March 13, 1960) is a musician, Italian composer, writer, poet and film director.
Biography
The musician
After having carried out the most varied jobs, including bracero, metal worker, administrative employee, radio announcer, merchant, promoter and even councillor, in 1987 he founded, together with some friends, the amateur musical group Orazero with which He participates in various provincial and national contests with original songs such as “Sogni di rock'n 'roll”, “Anime in plexiglass”, “Bar Mario” and “Figlio d'un cane”. Discovered by Pierangelo Bertoli, who recorded some of his songs, in 1990 he presented it to his producer, Angelo Carrara, to record an album. From that moment on, Ligabue became one of the most followed and loved rock stars, with best-selling albums that received multiple awards.

His songs conquer the hearts of a young audience: just mention "Balliamo sul mondo", "Ho messo via", "Ho perso le parole", "Il mio nome è mai più" (recorded with his friend and rival Floretino Piero Pelù and Jovanotti, who together sign as Ligajovapelù), “L'odore del sesso”, “Urlando contro il cielo”, “Questa è la mia vita”, “Tutte le strade portano a te" and, above all, "Certe notti", a piece that achieved great success in the late nineties of the last century, to the point that the readers of a well-known musical magazine voted it as the "Italian song of the century.".
The writer
He also dedicated himself to literature and obtained great critical and public success with the collection of 43 stories Fuori e interior il borgo (1997), winning, among others, the Elsa Morante and Citta di Fiesole. Her first novel appeared in 2004, La neve se ne frega , which soon reached the top of the sales lists. That same year he was awarded an honorary degree in Editing, Multimedia Communications and Journalism by the University of Teramo.
The filmmaker
He is also dedicated to cinema and debuted as a director in 1998 with Radiofreccia, a slightly autobiographical, melancholic story about the last day of transmission of a private radio station whose life runs parallel to that of a group of friends. Artistically relevant, mature film, technically surprising if you take into account that it is the first work of an artist completely unrelated to cinema. It was presented out of competition at the Venice Festival, achieving great success with critics and the public and winning three Davids by Donatello (among them best debut director for Ligabue himself), two Nastri d'argento, a Globo d&# 39;gold and three Ciak d'oro.
Three years later he directed DaZeroaDieci, a generational story about four friends who meet again after twenty years to spend a weekend in Rimini. Although appreciated by critics, this time the film only achieved the nomination for a Nastro d'Argento.
