Lu Ji

Lu Ji (陸機, 261 - 303) Chinese writer. He was a poet and author of the text Wen Fu (文賦), a piece of literary criticism on the principles of composition.
Lu Ji was a direct descendant of the founders of the Eastern Wu Dynasty and son of General Lu Kang. After the Wu dynasty was subjugated by the Jin dynasty in 280, he along with his brother Lu Yun moved to the capital, Luoyang, where he rose to prominence in literature and politics and was named president. from the imperial university. From the experience of that trip he composed two of his most famous poems, both with the title 'On the Road to Luoyang'.
Too brilliant for the comfort of his jealous contemporaries, in 303, along with his two brothers and two sons, he was sentenced to death on a false charge of high treason.
