Argument
Angie (Natalie Wood) met Rocky some time ago and spent a night with him. They haven't seen each other since. Now, however, Angie goes for her and tells her she's pregnant. Rocky wants to be right and assume his part of responsibility. He proposes Angie to abort and tells him that he will seek a doctor to do it clandestinely, as this practice is not permitted by law. Angie ascent, though in her innermost part, I'd rather not do it and have the baby with Rocky. When they arrive at the place where abortion should be done, there is no doctor but a lady whose appearance and utensils do not inspire any confidence. Before the Rocky intervention begins, he takes Angie from there. He offers her to marry her, but he doesn't say so very convinced. She's proud and not willing to marry a man who doesn't want her.

Comments
The film touches on the issue of illegal abortions performed by irresponsible people. A romantic story is woven around this central theme in which Natalie Wood gives one of the best interpretations of her.
