A linker (in English, linker) is a program that takes the objects generated in the first steps of the compilation process, the information of all the necessary resources (library), removes those resources it doesn't need, and links the object code to its library(s), ultimately producing an executable file or library. In the case of dynamically linked programs, the link between the executable program and the libraries is done at load or execution time of the program.
