Liero

ImprimirCitar

Liero is a DOS computer game created by Finnish programmer Joosa Riekkinen in 1998. It is often compared to the strategy game Worms, although it works real time and not in turns like the latter. Liero means worm in Finnish.

In Liero two or more worms fight to the death against each other with the sole objective of obtaining the highest score. The players have a wide arsenal of weapons and move within a two-dimensional map.

Liero can be played by two players simultaneously or solo against a player controlled by the game.

Currently development of the game is abandoned. Despite this, and not having the source code for the original game, various other programmers have created Liero-inspired games and even some clones.
