Lesser Gamarra
Gamarra Menor (Gamarragutxia in Basque) is a council in the municipality of Vitoria, in the province of Álava, Basque Country (Spain).
Location
It is north of Vitoria, 8 km away from the city center by road. It is separated from the homonymous town of Gamarra Mayor by just over a kilometer, although it is 4 km by road that separates them. It is accessed by the national road N-240.
Geography
The council is part of the Northwest Rural Zone of Vitoria.
Near this council runs the river Zadorra and perhaps due to the famous trout that at one time could be caught there, its neighbors were known by the nickname Truchos.

History
The population belongs to the jurisdiction of Vitoria since in the XIV century, King Alfonso XI of Castile ceded it to the same.

Monuments
- Nativity Parish. Data from the centuryXIIIwith a cover in Romanesque style. A modern image of the Virgin has replaced in the altarpiece greater than the medieval size, head of the parish and guard today in Gamarra Mayor.
- Hermitage of San José with baroque altarpiece. The images inside have been stolen despite the iron doors installed to protect them. Two small but interesting sizes of Purísima (end of the century)XVIII) and the Dolorosa, in addition to a popular image of the Virgin of the Rosary.
Parties
They celebrate their patronal festival on September 8, coinciding with the Nativity of Ntra Sra.
