This highway opened to traffic in 2002 and caused a brutal division of the parish into two halves: west and east.
The AS-317, the historic Oviedo-Gijón highway, is the border with the parish of La Pedrera.
EMTUSA line 24 ends at Mareo de Abajo and is the only one in the parish.
The La Camocha Railroad crossed Leorio from west to east, and there is currently the La Camocha greenway.
