In Greek mythology, the limnades or limnatides (from the Greek λίμνη 'lake') were a type of naiad. They lived in dangerous freshwater lakes and swamps. His parents were the river-gods.

The number of limnades is varied, among them are:

  • Salmacis.
  • The Astachides (α..στακες), ninfas of Ástaco.
  • Bolbe (.λβη), a nymph of a lake of Tesalia of the same name, classified as an oceanide for being the daughter of Ocean and Tetis.
  • Tritónide (Τριτονίος), ninfa of the lake homonym of salt water in Libya, mother of Nasamon and of Cafauro With Anfítemis and, according to a version of the myth, also of Athena with Poseidon.
