Latvia at the Olympic Games
Latvia at the Olympic Games is represented by the Latvian Olympic Committee, a member of the International Olympic Committee since 1991. Latvian athletes have competed under different flags: between 1924 and 1936 under the Latvian flag, from 1952 to 1988 under the Soviet Union flag and from 1992 again as Latvia.
It has participated in 12 editions of the Summer Olympic Games, its first appearance taking place in Paris in 1924. The country has obtained a total of 21 medals in the summer editions: 4 gold, 11 silver and 6 bronze.
In the Winter Olympic Games it has participated in 12 editions, being Chamonix 1924 its first appearance in these Games. The country has achieved a total of 10 medals in the winter editions: 1 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze.
