The Lappeenranta Polytechnic University, in Finnish Lappeenrannan teknillinen yliopisto (abbreviation LTY), which began its activity in 1969, is a school higher university level based in the Finnish city of Lappeenranta. It has 5,700 students and a staff of 980 teachers and employees.
