Kodok (Arabic: كودوك), formerly called Fachoda is a town in Upper Nile State, northeastern South Sudan, with a population dedicated to agriculture and the cultivation of gum arabic on the banks of the Nile River.

It is best known as the site of the Fachoda Incident in 1898, which brought France and the United Kingdom to the brink of war to unite their respective colonial territories in Africa. The Franco-British Entente Cordiale agreement of 1904 caused the British government to change the name of the town in the hope of erasing the "incident of 1898" from official memory.
