Kelsey Grammer
Allen Kelsey Grammer (Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands, United States, February 21, 1955) is an American actor, director, screenwriter and television producer. Emmy Award and Golden Globe winner. He is known for his role as psychiatrist Frasier Crane in the television series Cheers and Frasier, and for being the voice of Sideshow Bob ("Bob Patiño" in Latin America and "Supporting Actor Bob" in the Spanish version) in The Simpsons.
Biography
Grammer's parents met at a music school in New York, where his father, Allen, fell in love with Sally Cranmer who was training to be a singer. After leaving school for the military, Allen Grammer started a dance band with his girlfriend. The couple moved to Saint Thomas, where Allen opened a bar, played with the band, taught music to islanders, and later hosted his own radio show.
Kelsey Grammer was born on February 21, 1955 in a small house behind the bar. After the marriage failed, she returned to his family home in New Jersey where she gave birth to her daughter, Karen. Both children grew up with their grandparents.
He studied at the Juilliard Academy for two years, but then his personal tragedies made him drop out. He performed for three years with "the Old Globe Theater" in San Diego.
He made his Broadway debut in 1981 as Lennox in Macbeth, a role he obtained when Philip Anglim retired. In 1982 he appeared with Christine Baranski in the Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine production of Sunday in the Park with George with Mandy Patinkin, and then a featured role as Cassio in a Broadway revival of Othello. with James Earl Jones and Christopher Plummer. Grammer's television career began in 1983 when he played Stephen Smith in the NBC miniseries Kennedy, based on the life of the American president.
He began to attract public attention in the classic television series Cheers (1984-1993). Later, he was able to successfully introduce his character, Dr. Frasier Crane, in the television series of the same name, Frasier (1993-2004), winning the Emmy and Globe awards. gold for his work in the series. He was the first American actor to be nominated for multiple Emmy Awards for playing the same character on three different television shows: Cheers, Frasier and Wings. > (as guest actor).

He appeared as a guest star in the series Medium, of which he is a producer through his company Grammnet Productions.
In 2006 he appeared in the film X-Men: The Last Stand, as Doctor Hank McCoy (Beast). In 2010 he starred in the Broadway musical La Cage aux Folles. Between 2011 and 2012 he played Tom Kane in the television series Boss. In 2014 he was part of the cast of Transformers: Age of Extinction. He made a cameo in X-Men: Days of Future Past, reprising his role as Doctor Hank McCoy (Beast). He starred in the television series Partners, alongside Martin Lawrence. He played Bonaparte in The Mercenaries 3.

Personal tragedies
- When Kelsey was 13 years old (1968), his father, whom he had only seen twice, was killed in the front garden of his house (Islas Vírgenes).
- Seven years later, her sister Karen - only 18 years old - was abducted, raped and murdered during an attempted assault on the restaurant where her boyfriend worked: The Red Lobster (Colorado Springs). Kelsey, for his part, left his studies at the Juilliard Academy.
- Five years later of this last event (1980) his twin brothers Billy and Stephen died while diving.
- He assured that after talking about divorce with his second wife (Leigh-Anne Csunhany, 1992), he tried to kill himself with an overdose of Tylenol and wine, which caused the abortion of the child they expected.
- On 30 May 2008, he suffered a slight heart attack while he was rowing a boat with his wife, eventually recovering in a Hawaiian hospital.
- On July 24, 2020, his daughter Spencer suffered cuts in an arm, as he was brokered in a fight.
Sentimental relationships
Kelsey Grammer has been married three times:
- 1982-1990. Her first marriage was with the dance instructor Doreen Alderman, with whom she had her daughter Spencer.
- 1992. His second marriage was with Leigh-Anne Csuhany. That same year she had her daughter Greer with the makeup stylist Barrie Buckner.
- 1997-2011. His third marriage was with the old model of Playboy Camille Donatacci, with which he had two children: Jude Gordon and Mason Olivia.
- 2011. His new fiancée is 29-year-old Kayte Walsh.
To all this, Grammer currently has homes in Los Angeles, New York and Maui.
Other notable incidents
After publishing his autobiography, So far... in 1995, Kelsey was sued by a former girlfriend, Cerlette Lamm, for defamation and invasion of privacy.
In 2005, Grammer fell off a stage while giving a speech at Disneyland.
Political interests
He is a member of the Republican Party and has expressed interest in running for a position in the United States Congress. He supported Rudy Giuliani's candidacy and, after his departure, led his support to John McCain.
