K3b
K3b (KDE, burn, baby, burn) is one of the most complete graphical interfaces for burning CDs and DVDs under operating systems. GNU/Linux and FreeBSD. It uses, among others, the programs cdrecord and cdrdao, and the KDE libraries.
K3b allows, among other things, the creation of data compact discs (CDs), creation of audio CDs, creation of Video CDs (using the GNU VCDImager tool for this purpose), exact copy of CDs (clone copy), data DVD burning and DVD Video creation Also has CD/DVD ripping options
It was awarded as the best multimedia application by LinuxQuestions.org in 2006 by 70% of the participants. K3b is programmed in C++ and uses the Qt library.
K3b received strong support from Mandriva, who helped in the development, porting this application to Qt4, as it was quite behind in this process, compared to other KDE Extragear applications.
