Julie Cooper is a fictional character on the television series The O.C., played by Melinda Clarke.

Character Description

Julie Cooper is a woman who lives in Newport Beach, and has a tendency to marry for money. She is the mother of Marissa Cooper and Kaitlin Cooper. She was married for 17 years to Jimmy Cooper, an important intermediary in the purchase and sale of shares, but due to fluctuations in the Stock Market, he went bankrupt. For this reason, Julie decides to separate from her, and marry Caleb Nichol, father of the next door neighbor and ex-girlfriend of her ex-husband, Kirsten Cohen. She then gets to live in the biggest house in all of Newport Beach, and she gets to be the CEO of the Newport Group, her husband Caleb's company. When he dies, she is left broke and has to move to a trailer. Later, she marries Neil Roberts, the father of Summer, the best friend of her daughter Marissa's.

At the end of the third season, his daughter Marissa is killed in a car accident caused by Volchok. Due to this situation, Neil can't take her anymore and decides to leave her. Julie finally gets pregnant by Frank and is going to marry Bullitt, but Frank calls her on the phone and asks her not to marry her and she doesn't make up her mind and prefers to stay single. She has the son and studies a career.
