Joan Chong Chen (Traditional Chinese: 陈冲; simplified Chinese: 陳冲; pinyin: Chén Chōng) (Shanghai, April 26, 1961) is an actress, film director, screenwriter and producer Chinese American.

Biography

He emigrated to the United States when he was 20 years old.

Career

He has acted in films such as The Last Emperor, Red Rose, White Rose, Temptation of a Monk (in which he played 2 different characters and for which she shaved her head in front of the cameras) and the television series Twin Peaks playing Josie Packard.

He has directed the films Xiu-Xiu: The Sent Down Girl and Autumn in New York.
