Jin Shengtan (金聖歎 1608 – August 7, 1661) Chinese writer of the Ming dynasty.

He was also a critic and established the six works of genius (六才子書): the Li sao, The Historical Memoirs of Sima Qian, the Poems of Du Fu, The West Wing Chamber and Al water's edge, mixing works in simplified and classical Chinese.
