Jeremy Bulloch (Market Harborough, Leicestershire, February 16, 1945-Tooting, December 17, 2020) was a British actor recognized for his role as Boba Fett in Star Wars Episode V to Episode VI.

Biography

Jeremy was born in the town of Market Harborough in central England. He belonged to a family of five brothers. At the age of five he was already enjoying acting for school. After failing a school exam at the age of eleven, she decided to attend the Crown Academy School of Drama, where she would soon make her first professional appearance at the age of twelve in an ad for a breakfast cereal. After her many appearances on children's television, her career changed dramatically at the age of seventeen, when she had a leading role in the musical film Summer Holiday (1963). He then spent three years on the BBC's The Newcomers (1965), making him a household name in the UK. In 1969, Jeremy went to Madrid to play an important role in a musical film called Las Leandras (1969). This film was followed by two more films: The Virgin and the Gypsy (1970) and Mary, Queen of Scots (1971).[ citation required]

During the 1970s, Bulloch made many other screen appearances, including in James Bond films. In 1977 Jeremy spent six months in the Orient, where he passed through Singapore and traveled to the Philippines, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and filmed in Indonesia a drama documentary the BBC called The Sadrina Project. This documentary was designed to teach English to people in the East, mainly Chinese. He traveled some fifteen years later to China, where he was instantly recognized by hundreds of people who told him that they had learned English thanks to The Sadrina Project . [ citation needed ]

In 1978 Jeremy Bulloch starred in a comedy series called Agony (1979), which was co-written by an American named Len Richmond. While he was working on this series he was asked if he wanted to play a role in The Empire Strikes Back , from the George Lucas saga. He instantly answered yes. The role of him was that of Boba Fett, a bounty hunter. The character was an amazing success and was and still is the favorite of many fans of the saga. Return of the Jedi (1983) soon followed and Jeremy was called back to play Boba Fett. He also had the role of an Admiral in The Empire Strikes Back, in Cloud City, he is the admiral holding Leia Organa when she tells Luke Skywalker that she is a trap. Since then he has played many roles on television.

Bulloch undertook two world theater tours through Europe and the Orient. Jeremy appeared regularly in the TV series, Robin of Sherwood (1984), which also featured his son Robbie. Another popular series in which he appeared was Doctor Who (1963).[citation needed]

Jeremy had three children, and lived in London with his wife Maureen.

Passed away on December 17, 2020 at the age of 75.
