In the Star Wars universe, after Queen Padme Amidala stepped down as Elected Monarch of Naboo, Queen Jamillia donned the crown. Like her predecessor, she is regal and solemn, though she is not as young as Padmé was during her reign.

Queen Jamillia asked Padmé to continue serving the people of Naboo. Although she had the right to withdraw, Padmé accepted and became Naboo's representative in the Galactic Senate. Jamillia was personally concerned for Padmé's safety during the Separatist crisis and helped hide her presence on Naboo when the young senator was hiding from her suspected assassins.

Expanded Universe

During the Separatist crisis, millions of loyal citizens fled as their planets seceded from the Republic. When Coruscant began restricting immigration due to crowding and unrest, the planets in the Middle Circle opened their borders. A compassionate ruler, Jamillia eased Naboo's immigration regulations to accommodate the influx of refugees.

Jamillia wore many of the symbols that Amidala wore. Her face painted white with the same symmetrical beauty marks and the “memory scar” dividing her bottom lip. Queen Jamillia's accent indicated that her roots were in the southern regions of Naboo.
