Itachi Uchiha

Itachi Uchiha (うちは イタチ, Uchiha Itachi^?) is a fictional character in the manga and anime Naruto and Naruto: Shippūden, created by Masashi Kishimoto.

In the anime and manga, Itachi Uchiha is a renegade ninja who is considered a prodigy and possesses numerous outstanding qualities. He is originally from Konoha, from which he deserted, and a member of the Uchiha Clan, which was exterminated by him.

History

Before the saga

Itachi was the firstborn of Fugaku Uchiha, Leader of the Uchiha Clan, and Mikoto Uchiha. Itachi was considered a genius from a very early age; He awakened the Sharingan at the age of 8, graduated first in his class, and was appointed captain of the ANBU units at 13. Itachi had a very close relationship with his little brother Sasuke, who saw him as a role model and was somewhat envious of him. However, as Itachi became more involved in the ANBU and the Uchiha Clan became increasingly at odds with the Council of Elders of the Hidden Leaf Village and their relations became colder, all this possibly as a result of Kurama's attack on the village and the death of the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, since a member of the Uchiha Clan was supposedly behind the attack.

The Uchiha Clan then planned a coup to gain control of the village and they wanted Itachi to act as a spy, thanks to his privileged position as ANBU captain. However, Itachi decided to remain loyal to the Hidden Leaf Village and acted as a double-spy, informing the Third Hokage about his clan's movements. At one point, Danzō Shimura decided to give Itachi a choice: eliminate his family and protect the village from civil strife, or join his family and be eliminated along with them. Itachi also met Obito Uchiha (posing as Madara Uchiha), with whom he made a deal to eliminate the Uchiha Clan as long as Obito did not attack the village again. That same night, Itachi killed his entire family, including his parents. Naruto

Itachi appears in the first part of the series after the death of the Third Hokage, protector of Konoha, infiltrating the village with Kisame Hoshigaki. After drawing the attention of Konoha's forces Itachi reveals that, as part of Akatsuki, he must capture the nine-tailed beast, Kurama, which is sealed in Naruto. During a fight with Konoha ninjas, he discovers that Naruto has left the village, and that he is under Jiraiya's protection. Itachi creates a diversion to draw Naruto away from Jiraiya and thus capture him. Techniques
