Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa was the eleventh emir of Bahrain, belonging to the Al Khalifa dynasty.
Biography
Born on June 3, 1933, he received his education entirely in the emirate, although he did travel to Europe. From the age of 20 he began to take responsibilities in the administration of his country.
He was crowned crown prince of the emirate in 1958 and named the 11th sheikh of Bahrain in 1961. In 1971 he assumed the title of emir.
In 1949 he married his cousin, Sheikha Hessa bint Salman Al Khalifa (1933-2009) and from this marriage he had the following offspring:

- Rashid bin Isa Al Jalifa
- Abdullah bin Isa Al Jalifa
- Muhammed bin Isa Al Jalifa
- Ali bin Isa Al Jalifa
- Sheikha bint Isa Al Jalifa

- Maryam bint Isa Al Jalifa
- Muneera bint Isa Al Jalifa
Emir Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa died on March 6, 1999 in Manama, Bahrain, being buried in Riffa Cemetery, Manama.
