Iruka Umino

Iruka Umino (うみのイルカ, Umino Iruka^?) is a character from the Japanese animated series Naruto. He is an instructor at the Konoha ninja academy (Leaf Village), and his main feature is a horizontal scar that runs from cheek to cheek, passing over his nose, and which marks him since childhood. Umino Iruka can be taken to mean umi no iruka (dolphin of the sea).

Part One

He appears as Naruto Uzumaki's sensei at the academy, and has a special bond with him: both have been parentless from an early age, and since they are not naturally gifted in the ninja arts, at the academy they always tried to do the right thing. clown so that people would notice them.

Iruka lost his parents in Kurama's attack, when he was about 11 years old, but unlike others, he knew how to see in Naruto a normal boy and not the destructive fox, so, due to his similarity, he appreciates it, despite his continuous reprimands in class. She is therefore the first person to recognize Naruto, and this is something very important to him, as much as to protect him in the first chapter from Mizuki's attack. Yet another connection between them is his taste for ramen, especially Ichiraku's ; his most hated food is Maze-Gohan (rice and steamed vegetables). His hobby is going to the hot springs and his favorite word is "Faith".

Not much is known of his abilities, but he is proficient in basic ninjutsu and genjutsu, as seen before the chūnin exam, and by his position as an instructor. In one episode of the filler he uses a sophisticated ninjutsu trap against Mizuki.

After Naruto and his classmates' completion of the academy, Iruka became the sensei of a new group that included Konohamaru and his friends. During the invasion of Konoha he stayed with his students in a shelter to protect them, so he did not actively participate in the battle.

He has never shown great skills as a ninja in the series.

He is a Chūnin teacher at the Ninja Academy, he is respected by the elders of the Village and by his students as well. Iruka was the only one who came to understand and take care of Naruto when no one else did (Which made him keep moving forward even though he constantly failed). For Naruto he is more than a teacher, he is a friend and perhaps the closest thing to a father, loving him as such and receiving the same love from Iruka. From the way he treats and looks at Naruto we know that he loves him like a younger brother.

Part Two

In the second part there are no differences, he still has the same rank and job, as well as a basically identical appearance. When Iruka decides to look for Naruto after his return, he finds him in the Ichiraku Ramen where he realizes that he already he is not a weak ninja whom he has to protect as he begins to remember that since he was a child. Naruto tells Iruka that he intends to beat him but Iruka says that he is not as weak as he thinks. In manga 420 when Pain was invading Konoha to capture the Kyubi, he wanted to know where Naruto was but he didn't tell him and when he was going to kill him Kakashi appears and so Iruka flees with the wounded and Kakashi engages in a battle with the leader of Akatsuki. •=== Complete Missions ===•
