Invincible Breed is a film based on the novel Sometimes a Great Notion by Ken Kesey. He earned two Oscar nominations, for Best Supporting Actor (Richard Jaeckel), and for Best Song (All His Children).

Plot

Hank Stamper (Paul Newman) and his father Henry Stamper (Henry Fonda) own a logging business. The population suffers a strong economic crisis and the people are furious with the Stampers, because they continue to work and sell the trees they fell. The other loggers want to force them to stop working, but Hank continues to cut trees and pushes his brothers to do the same. Within the family, however, tensions also arise.
